summons
There are 6 summons that you can get in Kingdom Hearts.
Each with its own unique special ability. 2 you get
automatically and the other 4 you get through the summon
gems that you find. Once you get these gems, you should
show them to the fairy God Mother in Traverse Town. She
will then convert them into a summon. Note that when a
summon is called into battle, Donald and Goofy get off
the battlefield and let Sora and his summon do the
fighting. Plus, the summon only stays until his MP gauge
is finished. Below are the summons you can get.
Simba
He is the first summon you get. He has a charge bar where
you can attack enemies with a vicious charge. You obtain
him from the summon gem Earthshrine that Leon gives you
in the Secret waterway in Traverse Town.
Dumbo
He is a great summon that splashes water all over enemies
in turn causing enemies to perish. Plus, you get to fly
somewhat on Dumbo. Its quite fun. You get Dumbo from the
summon gem Watergem.
Genie
There is no summon gem here, you get Genie from Aladdin in
Agrabah after your adventure there. When Genie is summoned
he does a grand spell that heavily damages all the enemies
in an area. Therefore he causes damage to multiples of enemies.
Tinker Bell:
Even now, I have no idea what she does except spin around you.
But you get her automatically after Neverland.
Mushu:
I'm sure you remember this small red dragon from the cartoon
Mulan. Well he's the best summon there is. He fires fireballs
at his enemies. You get him towards the end of the game. You
use the summon gem Fireglow to get him.
Bambi:
You get him from the summon gem Naturespark. In battle, Bambi
showers you with green spheres and transparent bubbles
which heal you and raise your MP. Thats about all he does.
Its a great to battle enemies yourself without Donald and
Goofy in the way.
